Solar Hot Water
We completed training to install Schuco Solar Hot water systems on May 19,2006 in the first available U.S. training class.
We have been installing systems for 3 years now all over the state and would like you to be next! It's a great way to offset your energy costs and join the future of energy generation.
The solar thermal systems are designed for the New England area,so they are meant to work even in our harsh winters. They are manufactured by a German Company, Schuco, built to U.S. standards.
We are now offering Solar site surveys at your home for a small fee. This will enable us to ensure your site is acceptable to take advantage of our product.

Schuco Solar thermal systems consist of the following Components:
2 to 5 Schuco Solar Collectors for the average home is usually sufficient
Schuco SolarEZ mounting system (for convenient fixing of the solar system onto the roof)This mount enables the collectors to be flush mounted, giving them a sleek, modern look, similar to a skylight
Piping from the roof to the basement, garage or utility room is flexible copper line set that is a continuous run, essentially eliminating leaks.
The Solar Station is next in line to complete the solar loop.
The Schuco Solar controller (for automatic operation of system)keeps track of collector and tank temperatures and tells the circulator when to turn on
The Solar hot water storage tank is a heavy duty, glass lined tank with either one or two heat exchangers
Schuco solar fluid (non-hazardous propylene glycol)is then pumped into the system
Finally the Expansion tank compensates for thermal expansion of the solar fluid
The basic principles of solar thermal are easy to understand: Unroll a garden hose and lay it out in the sun. After a while the water in the hose will get hot. Thermal collectors work on the same principle, only much more efficiently. A special fluid is heated within a closed circuit to a temperature of up to 430 degrees Fahrenheit and pumped into a heat exchanger to transfer the heat without mixing fluids. This heat is then "stored" in a domestic hot water tank. Our solar thermal systems are used to heat a home's domestic hot water, and soon they will be used for radiant heating.
The collectors gather heat Even When It Is Cloudy! Heat will still be generated even when the sun is obscured by clouds. Even on cloudy days, thermal systems work with a large percentage of their capacity through the diffused light they receive.
Schuco Solar Thermal Systems are compatible with every type of boiler, whether oil, gas, or wood pellets, even with older devices.
